In a recent case in Bullitt one neighbor decided to put up a gate and block access to a farm in the back. Once the complaint was filed, another neighbor decided to counter-sue because his driveway extended into the easement and he wanted the right to park his cars blocking the easement.
Moral of the story: watch out for neighbors using your property but still being friendly, because when the opportunity arises they may claim ownership because you didn’t object.
Kentucky allows two way for others to take over your property, adverse possession and easement by prescription.
